Brooklyn's birthday was the day after Easter this year. She has been wanting an American girl doll since before Christmas. So she got dressed up in her birthday dress and we headed off to the American girl store. She picked out her doll...she chose Caroline. She picked out a couple of dresses and a bed for her doll. We walked over to cheesecake factory where we ate lunch and Caroline had her very own highchair. She loved every minute of it!! Later that day she opened the rest of her gifts from family. She had a great 5th birthday! I can't believe she is 5!!

We had a great Easter. It was fun to have my parents here to help us celebrate. The girls woke up and found that the Easter bunny had left them some gifts and a egg hunt. Next we unwrapped all the gifts from my mom and dad and all of their great grandparents. They were very spoiled by everyone!
Later that day we colored eggs and had another easter egg hunt by Grandma and Grandpa. It was a fun day even though we had just moved in and the house was a wreck.

We did a HUGE kitchen table makeover! I wish I had a before because it was pretty bad lol! My dad sanded the entire table and we stained the top and painted the bottom . We bought new chairs. I love the way it turned out.

 I spray painted the frames and bird cages so match the living room.
My dad is pretty much awesome! And so is my Mom!! They came out to help us get moved into our new house. While he was here he built a few things for me. First he built an awesome loft bed for Brooklyn! She is in LOVE with it and spends so much time in her room playing. He also made me this cute love sign for the living room along with the bottles next to it. He also sanded down my kitchen table so I could refinish it. He did all this and more in just a few days! I sure love my parents and I know we loved having them visit us!!
I am slowly getting the house ready and can't wait for the rest of the projects to come together!

I was painting Brooklyn's nails and Lexie kept coming over to me saying Pretty, Pretty. So I painted her nails for her and she LOVED it!!

Lexie fell on Brooklyn's castle and got a pretty bad black eye....poor girl has been getting hurt a lot these days.

This little lady insisted on wearing her tutu all day long!!! Every time I went to take it off she would scream NO!! She is so girly it makes me laugh. Brooklyn at her age was such a tom boy!
