What do you feed your kids?

I need some HELP! Brooklyn is getting so bored of the foods that I am feeding her so I was wondering what are some of your kids favorite foods?
Brooklyn only has 2 bottom teeth but she can eat just about anything.

They have these potato sticks that you can buy at costco. They sound like fris but they are not, they are by the potatos. I think they are actually sweet potatos but my kids love them. They also like to eat the cinnamon toast waffles. You can get those just from albertsons or walmart. I hope it helps, i know that there is alot healthier things that they eat like apples and stuff but i am sure you give those to Brooklyn already.

I'm trying to remember what I fed the kids at preschool when I worked there. I'll just list what comes to mind.

*Pasta w/butter (or olive oil) and parmesean cheese.
*Cheese and crackers
*Any type of sandwich (can she have peanut butter yet?)
*Cooked veggies in any form other than mashed...she's probably really sick of mashed foods. :)
*Cottage cheese and fruit
*Fruit in general. Summer's coming so there will be some great selection. e.g. melons, mango, pears, cherries, nectorines, peaches.
*Hot dogs/corn dogs
*Mac-N-Cheese

Anyway, that's just what comes to mind of what I fed the kids while I was teaching. (I was in the room with the 3-18 month olds) Sorry if it's a list of what you're already feeding her, than I'm no help at all! :) I would also recommend Googling meal idea for toddlers. There are great websites out there that have tons of menu ideas.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Actually I'm having that same problem. If at all possible I try to feed Hunter just what we eat, but he only has the two bottom teeth as well so I worry about him not getting things chewed well enough and then choking. He really likes pasta, mac and cheese etc... there are only a few things that I have fed him that he wouldn't eat and that is green beans, olives, and the little ravioli's by gerber graduates. They look and smell nasty and must taste the same.He LOVES pancakes, and sandwiches, well I'm sure you get the picture, he actually eats more of a variety of things than Cambrie does and I think that is just because I try feeding him stuff instead of assuming that he won't like it, so maybe that is the key, just try lots of unusual things????

pb&js, mac n' cheese, string cheese, sweet potatoes and yams (I buy them raw and soften them in the micro, then cut up into fry-shape, edamame (costco has microwaveable and I just don't add the salt), yogurt, raisans, starwberries /bananas/contaloupe (hays was slow in getting teeth too, so these were her favorite fruits until she was able to chew better). I get stuck in a rut sometimes too and Hays gets sick of eating the same thing, so i'm always asking my mom-friends the same question. good idea to blog about it!

Have you given her rice or cuscus? These are things that Elissa feeds Ian and he loves it. She just gets the different kinds that just come in a box. Baked potato, hawian(sp) hay stacks, fish sticks(sounds gross but riley loves them), frozen peas, I don't know I hope it helps a little

I know where you are coming from! Halle has refused baby food for the last two months. She is also picky and I feel like I am running out of things to feed her. What she does eat is beans. She loves them and they are great because there are so many different kinds you can mix it up. Also since she doesn't have all of her teeth they are soft for the gums. She also loves eggs and hashbrowns, fruit cups, frozen veggies, ego french toast sticks, etc. Let me know what you feed her Brooklyn.

I feed them whatever we had but more jello, yogurt, veggies, cottage cheese and applesauce on the side. I figured they were going to eat it eventually so why not! I would also pull a chair up to the table and if they seen that we had some of the same stuff they were fine with it.

I recommend the sweet potatoes that Natalie talked about. Maybe try some new fruit she has never had before, and add yogurt on the side and show her how to dip. That could be fun for her. Mason loves Clementines. They are a good size and easy to eat. Hope some of that helps:)

The 1 year pictures are way cute! Thanks for posting this blog cause now I can figure out what to feed mine:) Although one thing that was not mentioned is that Paisley loved and still loves black beans.

Well kayson's main diet pretty much consists of chicken nuggets, pizza, macaroni and cheese, toast and pancakes. It is pathetic, he use to love vegetables & fruit but about the time he started talking was when he decided to "change his mind".

I'm not big on trying to force him to eat anything, I'm such a picky eater myself so I know how it is to not want something!

I just keep on trying to reintroduce foods over and over to him and eventually he will come around and if he doesn't, then he doesn't.

But I have discovered these potato & broccoli like shapes that sometimes I can fool him into thinking they are chicken nuggets...usually only lasts one or two shapes! haha He really loves banana pancakes or banana blueberry pancakes. And as a veggie substitute I get either the Naked or Bolthouse the Green smoothie like drinks. He calls it "green power" since they are almost all natural real veggies and fruits it works as a good supplement.
