When I took Lexie into her 9 month Dr. appointment I was concerned because Lexie was not putting any weight on her legs and she was not crawling and wasn't even trying to crawl. He agreed with me that we should get her checked out. He gave me a card and told me to call them to set up an apt. I called and it would be at least a month before they could see her. I set up the appointment and waited...while we waited miss Lexie decided to crawl!! I was thrilled. I kept her apt. because she was still not putting weight on her legs. Her appointment was an evaluation to see if she would qualify for in home physical therapy. We went to her 2 hour evaluation and they told me that she would qualify!! We were so excited that she was going to get the help that she needed. She started Physical Therapy last Thursday. It was so great. They will come to our house once a week until we get her walking. Last week the PT gave us some things to practice with her. One of them is getting her to kneel at the stairs to strengthen her hips. It's so crazy to me that we have to teach her to kneel...last week when we started she could not even kneel at the stairs. I am just so thankful that she will walk and that we have the resources to teach her! Love this little girl!
